Vectra 3D Spot-On Solution is a broad-spectrum veterinary ectoparasiticide licensed exclusively for dogs, providing monthly protection against fleas, ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes, and stable flies. Containing three active substances — dinotefuran (neonicotinoid insecticide), permethrin (synthetic pyrethroid insecticide, acaricide, and repellent), and pyriproxyfen (insect growth regulator) — Vectra 3D delivers combined adulticidal, acaricidal, repellent, and flea lifecycle-interrupting activity. The 44 mg / 317 mg / 3.9 mg applicator is a yellow-capped pipette formulated for dogs weighing 1.5–4 kg. This product is an NFA-VPS veterinary medicine
Product Description
Vectra 3D Spot-On Solution provides comprehensive, once-monthly protection against a wide range of ectoparasites in dogs. The three active substances work synergistically: dinotefuran kills fleas and other insects by contact via nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonism; permethrin repels and kills ticks, insects, and biting flies by acting on voltage-gated sodium channels; and pyriproxyfen interrupts the flea life cycle by inhibiting egg hatching and larval development. A synergistic effect between dinotefuran and permethrin provides a faster onset of adulticidal flea activity.
For Dogs:
Fleas: Treatment and prevention of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis) for one month; prevents flea multiplication for two months by inhibiting egg hatching (ovicidal activity) and inhibiting emergence of adults from eggs laid by treated animals (larvicidal activity)
Ticks: Persistent acaricidal and repellent efficacy against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus for one month, and Dermacentor reticulatus for up to three weeks
Sand flies, mosquitoes, and stable flies: Persistent repellent (anti-feeding) activity against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus), mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti), and stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for one month; also provides persistent insecticidal activity for one month against mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) and stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans)
Which Animals Can Use Vectra 3D Spot-On?
Vectra 3D Spot-On is licensed for use in dogs only. It must never be used on cats — due to their unique physiology and inability to metabolise permethrin, this product may have serious harmful effects on cats, including convulsions that could be fatal. The product is not licensed for use in cats or any other species. The 1.5–4 kg (yellow cap) applicator is for dogs weighing between 1.5 kg and 4 kg. The product must not be used on dogs younger than 7 weeks or weighing less than 1.5 kg. Always use only under the direction of your vet or SQP.

Vectra 3D Spot-On is for external (topical) use only. Apply the full contents of one applicator to the dog's skin once a month. Part the hair until the skin is visible along the dog's back, beginning between the shoulder blades. For dogs up to 40 kg, the solution should be applied in 3 spots along the back; alternatively the solution may be applied in a continuous line from the base of the tail to the shoulder blades. Avoid application to the dog's hair — apply directly onto the skin. Wait 48 hours after application before allowing the dog to swim or be bathed. Do not apply to damaged skin.
